Grammar; the three types of verb moods in the English language are Indicative, Imperative, and Subjunctive. In this post, you'll know everything about these moods.


First of all, what is a verb mood? A verb mood refers to the manner a verb is expressed. Fun Fact; the most used verb in a sentence is the indicative mood.


Indicative; a form of the verb in which the verb is used to state a fact or an opinion.

Examples Are;

He goes to the academy every day.

She walks her pups.

I dislike this brand of food.


Imperative; a form of the verb in which the verb is used to give commands or requests.

Examples Are;

Sit Down!

Can you please ask your teacher for help?

Tell Him to Shut up.


Subjunctive; a form of the verb in which the verb is used to express a wish or desire.

Examples Are;

If I were in your place I wouldn't do it.

If I were the manager, I would've fired him.

I wish I was rich.
