Competitions can be found in every subject and sector in school from physical education to core subjects, but what are its effects generally on a human in school and life.

Competitions is a general – but also an important in a human’s life.


That is because competition is found everywhere in a human’s life, for example-

Competition in the market between different retailers.

Competition in entertainment between sport games like soccer and basketball, in movie making competitions and award’s like the Oscar and the gammy awards.

Competition in educational, scientific, and political achievements like the Nobel prizes for peace and physics.


So, now what ? Are competitions harmful or not ?


Here are 5 reasons why competitions are bad for kids;

It promotes hostility and anger.

Makes a kid unnecessarily stressed and pressured

Makes a kid be a victim of bullying for losing a competition.

Makes a kid feel disappointed about himself due to losing a competition.

Competitions could also be responsible of a kid’s relationship to dent or end.


Are they good for kids?


Here are 5 reasons why competitions are good for kids;

Competitions promotes perseverance and hard work

It promotes a kid’s teamwork and social skills.

It helps a kid build relationships and meet new people.

Promotes creativity and innovation to solve problems.

Inspires a kid to do their best.
