We need plants and trees to survive, animals need plants to survive, and birds need plants to survive. Deforestation is not making things easier to recover our planet's wildlife to its true glory. Deforestation is the permanent removal of trees and plants to build buildings and housings units for humans. Deforestation is an environmental issue especially in big forest countries like Canada, Brazil, African Forests, and the USA. In 2019, 30 million acres of land which is about 47 thousand square miles, which is close to the size of the new york state and between 1990 and 2016 roughly 502,000 square miles ( 1 million square kilometers )
Countries With The Most Deforestation Rate 2000 - 2005 in Hectares.
1. Brazil - 3,466,0002
2. Indonesia - 1,447,8003
3. Russian Federation - 532,2004
4. Mexico - 395,0005
5. Papua New Guinea - 250,200
What Would Happen? We all thought what are these consequences, well they are a lot and could cause a global catastrophe.
Effects Are:-
Loss of Habitat - The most concerning effect is the loss of habitat nearly 70% of all animals and plants depend on forest lands for shelter, food, and survival.
Increased Greenhouse Gasses - Forests absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere preventing massive amounts of greenhouse gasses going and flooding the atmosphere.
Water - Trees regulate the water cycles in the environment and the atmosphere. Deforested areas suffer from a dry atmosphere and dry soil.
